Long ago, in a forgotten kingdom called Eldoria, people whispered about a powerful dragon named Ignivar who lived deep within the Ashen Mountains. Unlike other dragons, Ignivar was said to guard an ancient crystal that could control fire itself.
For hundreds of years, no one dared to approach the mountain. The sky above it always glowed red at night, and villagers believed the dragon’s flames painted the clouds.
One day, a young hunter named Kael decided to climb the mountain. His village had been suffering from endless winter, and the elders believed the fire crystal could bring warmth back to the land.
After days of climbing icy cliffs and dark caves, Kael finally reached the dragon’s lair. The enormous crimson dragon opened its glowing golden eyes.
Instead of attacking, Ignivar spoke in a deep, rumbling voice.
"Why do you seek the fire of legends, human?"
Kael trembled but answered bravely,
"Not for power… but to save my people."
The dragon studied him for a long moment. Then Ignivar lowered its head and revealed the glowing crystal beneath its wings.
"True courage is not the desire for power, but the will to protect others," the dragon said.
With a powerful roar, Ignivar released a single spark from the crystal. The spark flew across the sky like a blazing star and melted the endless winter across Eldoria.
From that day on, the villagers told stories not of a terrifying dragon—but of the Crimson Guardian of the Mountains, who watched over the world from the clouds.
